Non-fiction talk "Just Being Alive Is Pure Profit" Ep.2 released 🎥
Just living is a huge bonus.
Find tips for self-care from someone else's life.
"Just Living is a Huge Bonus" is a non-fiction talk series by 8ed Studio, exploring how individuals practice "self-care."

In this series, we focus on the self-care practices in each individual's life, observing how they spend their days and how they engage with themselves.
In our daily lives, we sometimes get so caught up in what's in front of us that we put our own needs aside.
How do people face themselves and take care of themselves amidst such a routine?
Through vlogs and interviews, this series peeks into the lives, ways of thinking, and small habits behind various people's daily routines.
This time, we followed digital creator Maya's day and listened to her story about how she came to her current lifestyle.
Realizing the importance of facing oneself after a period of overworking

Maya worked as an office worker for about three years.
She says that at the time, she kept pushing herself to do what was in front of her, ignoring the discomfort her mind and body were feeling.
One day, amidst such a routine, she suddenly found herself unable to get out of bed.
That incident prompted her to gradually start contemplating "how can I live comfortably?"
Instead of prioritizing only hard work, she began to ask herself how she was feeling in the moment and how she truly wanted to spend her time.
Paying attention to herself led to Maya's current way of life.

Physical activity is also part of daily self-care.
Just as journaling helps her pay attention to her feelings, the time she spends moving her body is something she values daily.
Stretching on a yoga mat helps her to sculpt her body and also allows her to concentrate and engage with herself.
What stood out was how she discovered 8ed Studio's stretch mat and how leaving it out made it easier to continue exercising.
Instead of always preparing for self-care, having the opportunity for it readily available in her daily life.
When she feels like "moving her body a little," she can start right away.
The mat blends into her life as part of the interior, creating time for physical activity in her daily routine.
This is also one of Maya's small habits for "living comfortably."

A tiny habit accumulated day by day.
It may not bring about a significant change.
Yet, it quietly outlines the feeling of "truly living" at unexpected moments.
"Living Comfortably"
In this vlog, we also got a glimpse of Maya's day.

Each of these is a small, everyday moment.
However, by understanding her own mind and body, she chooses what she needs at that moment.
This accumulation of small things might be what creates her "comfortable life."
Imagining an ideal while also facing her present self and life.
Not what's right for someone else,
but finding out what feels comfortable for herself.
Listening to this story, I feel the importance of such things.
Just living is a huge bonus.

Perhaps taking care of oneself isn't always about being in a good mood or perfectly controlling oneself.
There are days when one feels down, and days when things don't go as planned.
Even with such aspects of oneself, one can turn inward at each moment and ask, "How am I feeling right now?"
And gradually make choices that feel comfortable for oneself.
Experiencing someone else's life and way of thinking can be a trigger for oneself to pay a little more attention to oneself.
